ABOUT The Poland Lacrosse Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing the sport of lacrosse in Poland, to assist in fundraising for league & National Teams, and to bring those with heritage back to their roots. 

Poland, lead by the Polish Lacrosse Foundation Heritage Team, will compete at the 2023 IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship. In preparation for the tournament, organizers of the team are accepting applications from eligible players ages twenty (20) to sixteen (16) who are interested in traveling to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada for a once in a lifetime experience. Players must be born on or between January 1, 2003 – December 31, 2007. Therefore, a player must not be or be turning twenty one (21) years of age in 2023. Interested players must be considered heritage eligible, as defined by the Polish Heritage Team, including a parent/step-parent/guardian, and/or grandparent/step-grandparent being born in Poland or of Polish decent. Contributions and conditions of residency (living abroad) and/or education (college/university) also qualify players for Polish heritage. Inclusion on the team and competing at the 2023 IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship will directly contribute to the growth of lacrosse, box and field, in Poland. The IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship is an immersive box lacrosse experience with, at least, four (4) full international indoor games including Round-Robin, Playoff, and Medal Games. 

Accommodations will be provided with transportation to and from the airport. Players will play and have the opportunity to attend all games of the 2023 IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship at the SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. SaskTel Centre is a 15,000 seat world class facility and home to the Saskatchewan Rush of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) and Saskatoon Blades of the Western Hockey League (WHL).

Open to players of Polish heritage under the eligibility requirement conditions as an IIJL Developing Nation. Players must be born on or between January 1, 2003 – December 31, 2007, between twenty (20) to sixteen (16), and not be or be turning twenty one (21) years of age in 2023.

Submission of this Interest to Participate form does not guarantee a prospective player a spot on the Poland 2023 IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship roster or serve as a reservation. Once an Interest to Participate form is submitted a Poland staff member will contact and provide the prospective player with further information and instructions. Qualified prospective players are encouraged to complete the Interest to Participate form immediately as the selection process will be expedited to prepare for the 2023 IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship.
